Is feminism ruining friendship, joy and leissure?

A lot of rational reasons be skeptical toward new feminism (I can be agree at some points, but mostly not), but I have a very personal perspective when it comes about association. Apparently, all kind of mainstream is feminist now. All about female perspective (via gender ideology), every music genre, every movie and trendy clothing is gynocentric, feminist women are everywhere and male representations are guided by feminist standars (All of new male-trends are focused on feminist views, not male-builded masculinity anymore). All kind of expression is made by women, and maybe this is how they felt before, but ALL is female oriented right now. This is an evidence of how feminism is reversed sexism (basing on the idea of our last society was supposed to be sexist). I've not seen a male hero in a male-centered movie in YEARS. Not male singers nor male-fronted bands without feminism consciusness.... apparently, feminists think Nu Metal, urban music, street-flick movies were sexist...even if it's a cartoon for kids (like TMNT 2003).

This is awful, is dull and I'd like to know if you are agree. I wouldn't mind to live around feminist politics but:

-Political correctness have turned media so dull

-Gynocentrism in all voices

-Some kind of expressions SILENCED (if we have a new Slim Shady-esque album... it would be banned or what?)

-Guys are not GUYS anymore.

Because I feel like friendships are not the same. My male friends feel pressure about girls, girls are always demanding attention and women can't be quiet. I don't remember what is like to be playing sports with a male group as leissure, girls are everywhere, they don't care if we can't stand them (they say: U SEXIST). All kind of male identity have been removed from media where I live (Spain). Some schools are starting to teach gender topics on kids... I don't see typical boy toys (guns, cars...) on shops for childreen (but I see a lot of dolls, colors..)..what If I wanna give a gift to my little cousin? Women are still saying male bonding on teens is dangerous, and guys shouldn't be educated by men (they say fathers are too distant at the same time). While they impose gender neutrality at schools (Is so CRAZY to see kids with no clear sex by their clothes. Why so boring? Why not girls with miniskirts? Why not boys with spiky hair and unsleeved shirts? Is it harmful or what?...ew)

For me, feminism is 100% sexes equality (but...what about sex differences by nature? are supposed to be women as strong as men? lmao even justice is crazy) but gender inequality: they say female is good, male is bad. This masculinity crisis is the true deppression (not that ToXiC masculinity), and men are still the workers while women demand care. I hope feminist men will attack this system or something, lol, we have problems that feminism won't fix. Men are men, gender won't help our mental health for example (psychology have been pro-female since centuries ago... men can't be depressed as the same way as women, our brains are different...different syntomps...not facts enough?)

What do you do if you have the same experience?

You hope feminist men will attack the system

Of course they won't, half of those are creeps who are playing the game just for pussy and the other half are too dumb and brainwashed to know any better.

The best you can hope for is that at some point most of these people will wake up and realise they fucked up things both for themselves and those behind.

However there is plenty of evidence that the younger generations are seeing through this bullshit and not following it so maybe it will for out on its own in time.

In Croatia extreme feminism doesn't exist and if some girl says she supports their looks we liturarely make her a laughing stock (no casses im my elementary school (I'm 8th year)). Even all female population in our school is actualy against new "feminism".

No cause I don’t befriend feminists in the first place. any man that does deserves what he gets. It’s men who need to change and just avoid these types of women. It’s men who need to quit being desperate and get off dating apps and quit chasing

This seemed a little petulant to me at first. Why not befriend feminists then they would realize we're not so bad? Then I remembered they would take any sort of even vaguely positive response from me as validation. See I treated him like shit and he still wants to be "friends". Ha ha ha

My best friend since high school is very much a feminist, we just have a mutual agreement not to talk about politics. Even when we slip up and a political topic comes up, we’re pretty good at staying civil for the sake of our relationship. I’m pretty lucky in that sense. I have had other friends totally turn on me. One girl verbally abused and bullied me on Twitter for a few days. It was pathetic.

Feminism does its best to ruin everything, yes.

My plan is to live in a cabin in the woods, reading and writing books. I've never felt like this society was for me, and always enjoyed being alone, so no problem.

There was someone in r/feminism talking about a anime that was pro feminism, and they weren't sure if they liked it, because some scenes show nudity of women. I told them that you cant expect tv shows to completely follow one ideal, because tv shows want as much viewers as possible. Then I got permanently banned from r/feminism.

I'm sure it had nothing to do with all your activity on a sub directly opposing theirs. Maybe not fair, but understandable. They were exercising foresight. I got banned there too.

I do IB in high school and wouldn't you guess it, our first topics in literature are about female perspective and gender equality (mind you that last year in MYP our topic for a whole bimester was the feminist approach). I see in most men in my classes that we just go through the motions and are sick and tired of this ideological pandering to women and the "tOxIc MaScULiNiTy MuH" stuff. The feminists are ostracizing manliness and then cry when most men my age oppose feminism in my country.

As a woman who was essentially forced to attend an all-girls secondary school, I can definitely see that quite a lot of things are heavily catered in a PC and feminist manner nowadays. I've been watching quite a few movies I missed out on when I was younger, including the earlier Alien series. That series has a strong female character who isn't strong for the sake of being a woman. Now films and the vast majority of any industry treats women as if they're all victims and it's honestly highly patronising. Going to that school, we barely learnt anything in history apart from going over the suffragette movement quite a bit, which of course was an important movement in history but there was just a large focus on the fact we're girls in everything and I just hated it. I ended up realising pretty much every girl I met was a feminist (other things tended not to click most of the time due to interests, plus I like to discuss these types of issues every now and then with friends) so I ended up being friends with guys and quickly learnt how so many issues get pushed aside. I used to somewhat consider myself a feminist when I was 14 or so but I didn't understand the 3rd wave aspect of it until later on. Men and women both have issues, and regardless of how different or similar they may be, men's issues need to be acknowledged properly, rather than pushed aside simply because of what women went through in the past or in other places of the world.

No because I don't have friendship, this who I do befriend I'm fairly similar to or we can at least disagree amicably. Joy for me exists with my partner mainly and video games secondarily (the drugs help with the downtimes but they're not real joy alone) video games are doing ok despite what feminists may want. I just spent all of last night drinking cider and whiskey smoking weed and playing doom eternal, good times. Half Life:Alyx is downloaded on my pc already, ready for the patch so I can play on the 23rd. I'm not opposed the pushing back against feminism where they go too far but, at least for how I structure my life, feminism has not ruined friendship, joy or leisure

I think first and second wave feminism were important and were for the most part just about getting equality between the genders. Third wave feminism is at this point just anti men and anti masculinity.

They tell women to act like men and and men not to act like men.

Proof in the fact that they hate stay at home moms even though we can pretty much all agree they are important to society and want women to dominate the job market entirely.

So yea feminism is ruining all those things by fricking up society, and hurting the lives of both women and men

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
