Been on 2 dates with a girl. All went well and verbally agreed to see each other again. However, she's a student here and is going home for the holidays so I won't be able to see her again for 3-4 weeks. We verbally agreed after the 2nd date that we'll meet again.

I'm generally an advocate for texting for logistics only in the early stages (especially with online dating) but I feel like it would be a little weird (for lack of a better word) to just go no contact for 4 weeks. How would I maintain interest over the next few weeks via text?

I'm obviously not going to go down the "how was your day?" every night route but thinking of initiating once or twice to keep the ball rolling (something lighthearted like asking how xmas was and an inside joke). Or would it genuinely be better to just totally go no contact until she's back in mid-January? I wouldn't want her to confuse my lack of contact with a lack of interest.

Thoughts? Thanks.
