Before I left for my first deployment to Iraq I thought, fuck it might as well splash some ink so long as I’m doing other dangerous dumb shit. So I got a tattoo on my forearm of some shit I wouldn’t have picked on literally any other day. Yet it has not once ever bothered me. I look at it like a scar. I did something reckless and kinda dumb and I have the scar to prove it. There’s a scar on my face from tripping on stairs and a mark on my forearm from pre combat fuckery.
