A woman (early 30s, dyed orange hair, most likely a hardcore feminist) at my work accidentally sent me an email on an email chain that she wrote about me. She was shocked when I replied saying that I’d read the whole email chain where she was writing about me in an unprofessional manner. (She’s too stupid to understand how email chains works.)
Our line manager (older woman) read the emails but didn’t punish her, and she got away with simply saying “sorry, it was unprofessional, but I stand by what I wrote”. She publicly admitted it must have tough to read what was written about me.
The next day she tried to be all happy and smiley with me and kept asking if I’m ok and even rested her hand on my shoulder. I didn’t smile and just gave one word replies. She has some crazy agenda against me, and I can disprove everything she said about me.
I hate working with her now, as I lost all respect and trust. How do I deal with this situation? I have to interact with at least twice a week during meetings. Do I try and make peace with her, or just ignore her wherever possible?
