It's well documented in the literature that people only do this from a position of insecurity. Putting someone down that you feel is greater than you makes you feel better about yourself - this is exactly what he is doing.

I know its never easy - trust me - but remind yourself that he knows you're better than him every time he tries to put you down. If you actualize that enough, no amount of 'bullying' can effect you.

Two years ago I was in a similar position. I just graduated from university and had a shitface of a manager. Didn't want to change my job because it's one of the biggest companies in my field and anyone would be lucky to start from a place like this. You can follow what I did, but please remember it will take time to destroy him and I mean destroy. First I talked to everyone and behaved like my manager was the nicest person in the world. In a few months mapped out who the most sought after employees were. Took on a project which would allow me to work with someone who was my manager's sworn enemy in the office. Worked with him for close to a year, worked my ass off and proved to him that I can work for him. It worked and he agreed to be my manager. It's been almost a year since I've talked to my previous manager now. I can do that because everyone in the company knows how good I've worked. Very recently my previous manager got left out from a project I recently started working on (I might have influenced it 😎). Read 48 laws of power. Destroy your enemy completely. But be his friend first. This allows you to know your enemy.

If you don't have an actual boss, tell the clown to suck your dick while stating dead into his eyes, and dismiss him. Put some fear in that clown's heart. What's stopping you from just going full disrespect and dismissing him? You're bigger and stronger than him. Who cares what he has to say? Intimidate him physically

When he's an asshole, mock the guy. Make up a name for him that you call him when talking to him, but do it in a way that might/maybe/could-be friendly teasing. Say it in a laughing way that is ambiguous to some extent: are you laughing with him or at him?
If he tries to make you do something that isn't his place to demand of you, simply refuse. Do it with confidence, with a laugh (see above).

Also, if he makes fun of your vascularity, tell him, "That's what happens when you get strong, you should try it."

Turn about is fair play...a few well aimed jokes back at him and he will back off as all bullies do..most of all, remain unaffected.

next time he cracks a joke on you you should laugh really hard and fall on the floor and roll around a little bit.... Pretend his joke was the funniest thing in history. Then stop, look at him with a straight face, and walk away.

It will be the last time he does that trust me. He will look like a fool.
