My ex-girlfriend was a nurse and she was legitimately crazy. Honestly, today’s nurses scare the absolute fucking shit out of me.

Especially being a White heterosexual male, and then seeing some tatted-up, facially-pierced, liberal nutjob nurse walk in the room.

One of them happened to somehow miss my huge veins, while taking blood, and it hurt like fucking hell, last year.

I still think it was intentional. I could sense an attitude for something (probably my existence).

I really don’t trust many of them that are 35 and under, as I know what that generation has produced, in terms of females.

I spent over a week in hospital last year and thankfully my nurses seemed good at their jobs. I was lucky that I had a male surgeon though, he was excellent. I also had to have two blood tests a day when in there and I gotta say that all the women who did blood tests were damn good. I have what they called deep veins and it was very difficult to get blood out of me, the women who drew blood on me could do it by touch alone. My dad also was lucky enough to get a competent female doctor who managed to diagnose his pretty rare condition on the spot. That said, I do prefer male doctors and my GP is a bloke.

I find it scary that the girls I went to college with became nurses and they are dumb as rocks and are there to save life’s.

It's not really on, though, until you have to deal with one arguing diagnosis with a doctor.

Can confirm, in college, females struggle with chemistry because it’s math and problem solving, they have to study really hard.

Let's be frank bro's, we all know women become nurses to bag a dr. and the rest that can't end up being alcohol and marijuana abusing horrible people. I know a couple of nurses and they get hammered fri-sunday night and i mean stinkin drunk. These nurses i know are cute as fuck but aren't going to be for very long with the wall approaching 100mph the way their living, then the bitchface really surfaces, think i'll live out my dying days alone at home than be abused by some disgruntled bitch nurse.

Isn't medicine in general mainly rote learning instead of intelligence? Like anatomy is just memorizing bones and muscles, which would be very hard.

The pay is reflective of the work conditions. As a male RN, yes, the schooling was ridiculously stupid. Not easy, but retarded stupid. Some older faculty don't want men in the programs, and they make that clear by their actions. Once out and working, sexism towards men in the field is not uncommon.

I entered the field for an advanced degree that I ended up not wanting to pursue after Nursing School, but also couldn't because I will never have the experience needed to enter the very few schools that exist to become a nurse anesthesist. There are none in my state, for example.

What I realized after a short period of time in nursing, is the pay is due to the crap work conditions. There is no shortage of people willing to work good jobs in nursing, in good places, and reasonable hours. They may not pay top dollar.

However, there are not a lot of people willing to do shitty work, in a shitty place and at 3AM. Think about that.

It is a rare nuclear physicist or technician who will have to work at the nuclear power plant at 2 or 3 in the morning. same I suspect for most chemists and other highly educated science field workers. Most of those highly educated positions are Monday to Friday and reasonable hours of the day, or they pay an extremely good living because of both the education and intelligence required and a crappy hours.

Women in general have always treated me like shit. I remember when I was in ICU(long story) the female nurses treated me like shit. They even thought they were above the doctors. The cunts wouldn't even let me leave when the doctor said I could and told me I'm not a priority even though I was in ICU.
