Especially his daughter is 18, I would have disowned her, filed for divorce or simply ghosted. He does not deserve this, problem going legal route however, the court is going to strip him bare. He is not going to get any justice. He needs to start making escape plans with some good lawyers, and the sooner the better... although I suspect he's screwed already.

Why are these men so hell bent on suffering? The woman he married is dead. His angelic daughter is dead. They aren't who they once were and he needs to accept that.

This applies to everyone. If the person you loves changes into someone who treats you like shit, they aren't the person you fell in love with. Drop them. It isn't worth the suffering when the likelihood of redemption is so small.

A literal slave in all but name.

1) Must give up his earnings to people who have power over him and who openly disrespect him.

2) His progeny is the property of the master.

3) Can't get away from his master without a costly bailout and/or punishment.

4) Is barely protected by the laws and the court of public opinion. Nothing save from being murdered by the master or suffering severe bodily harm by the master will catch the attention of the police and even then the master will get disproportionally light punishment.

I am not exaggerating. It's slavery, just not as extreme as working in the coalmine/on the cotton field/on a galley.

Talk to a lawyer about getting a divorce. You need to accept responsibility for raising an entitled child. That wasn't just your wife. You threw money at problems and didn't address what was really going on with your child and now she is an adult who doesn't know how to live in the real world. You have a lot of work to do to set boundaries and figure out how to be the parent of an adult child who you enabled. You have every right to seek divorce and should get therapy to help you deal with all the changes in your life.

Gotta love the hipocrisy. The daughter is a good girl, he sends her to school, the daughter goes haywire, he tries to correct the problem, the mother won't let him and threatens him with the power of the state that they both know she has. He has to watch his little angel turning into degenerate and paying for it to happen willingly or not. But "you both responsible" my ass. you "threw money at problems". Hypocrites.

Kudos to this guy for realizing the hopelessness of his situation. His family are entitled modern women. And remember, modern women do not teach their children morality. Modern women only teach their daughters how to be thots. Wife honestly doesn't see a problem with this behavior since it's her husband's job to step up and bail their worthless daughter out of every problem she gets into.
