I'm honestly sick to death of this from these sorts of people.

Literally everyone in the world exists in their own head constantly and only cares about themselves. This does not make them a bad person, this makes them human. If you expect different, you will be consistently disappointed by humanity. The only people who aren't like this are the ones who make the conscious effort to be interested in people. Most men and women are not, and it's extraordinarily difficult to maintain

The fact that she implies women are any different is absolutely laughable and ridiculous. If I have a complaint at work from anyone, male or female, I phrase everything in terms of what they want because they don't give a shit what I want. They want to have their ego massaged and validated, and they want to think someone cares about their interests.

I've had situations from girls where I listen attentively and do this, and they really enjoy the conversation. But as soon as I talk about myself the light turns off, because it's not about them anymore and they just don't care.

What infuriates me about all this is that she does not give him a rest in this even for a second. It's such an unrealistic standard to hold people to, and it's so arrogant to expect it from another person.
