Do I need to give up my male-dominant hobbies to get commitment?

I am reasonably certain guys are balking from the large number of male friends you have and not the weightlifting. Tons of guys are into fit chicks. No guy is into chicks who have 10 dudes they text on the regular.

Whether you like it or not, whether it's not politically correct or not, is irrelevant. Guys avoid women with numerous male friends.

You shouldn't give something up that makes you happy, that keeps you healthy, and keeps you in action in life. Yes, fewer men out of the massive pool of humans out there will be interested. However, in my humble opinion, you shouldn't compromise yourself to cater to people who probably won't appreciate you, or come to love you, for you. God I hate to sound that cliche, but I believe it applies here.

What's the point in attracting people you probably wouldn't be compatible with anyways?

If it's something you really love and are passionate about I'd be very hesitant to say you should give it up. I think you do have to understand that, as a competitor, there are going to be a smaller number of men that will find you physically attractive and that you would probably be limited to men that are also very active in your sport or, at the very least, just incredibly fit themselves, but I don't think it's impossible for you to find someone. Look at Annie Thorisdottir; she was named fittest woman in the world and last I heard she had a boyfriend. Michelle Lewin is super buff and she's married (I don't think she does CrossFit though). Orksana Grishina also has an extreme body type (buff!) and is married, and she was a regular Arnold Classic competitor (check out her Micheal Jackson routine, it's amazing!).

Anyway, being extremely fit and a competitor doesn't mean you will never find love, you are just probably going to have a smaller pool of potential mates to choose from. Is this reality something that would bother you? If it does then you may need to consider cutting back a little or finding different types of competitions to be involved in like figure, physique, fitness, etc.

I hope this was helpful. I personally really enjoy weight lifting and would love to compete in a figure competition someday (although I'm probably not dedicated enough for that, lol), so I'm all for female weight training athletes!

Added: Any guy who is also into your sport will understand your position, and I'm sure it wouldn't be an issue (like, at all) that the majority of your friends are male. The most important thing is how you present/carry yourself. Just don't give anyone reason to doubt your integrity (ex being overly flirtatious with the men you're in contact with or hanging out alone, in a private location, with a male who isn't your BF ).

I kid, I kid. There's plenty of guys that will automatically cross you off their list because of this. Do you feel that you would be compatible with them outside of that? Maybe, maybe not. There's plenty of men that will want you just because you lift though you might not be compatible outside of that. You do you and don't stop doing what you love because a couple of men may turn their noses up to you. If you have a feminine attitude and general feminine looks and don't conduct yourself like an overweight truck driver, there will still be plenty of men who find you attractive. I lift too and I couldn't imagine hiding & stopping that part of me just to appease some guy who wants a thin submissive waifu that needs his help lifting a can of beans.

I do find that Crossfit women tend to go fridge mode which will make it harder to be physically attractive to all but a small niche of men. So keep that in mind.

Sounds like you have no trouble meeting guys who could be potentially interested in you.

How ripped are you (muscular vs tight/toned yoga body)? The reason I ask is because most men want a women, not a man.
