Hi all,

I often receive surprised reactions when I tell people at work that I’m married because many of my coworkers seem to think I am younger than I really am. I am 27. I think I look my age, and it has much more to do with my mannerisms, body language, style, etc. I am wanting to make some life changes in the near future so these are things I know I need to work on.

I also adore things that are cute. I love animal sweaters, anything Sanrio, stuff with cats, etc. I don’t wear a lot of cutesy stuff at work- my work outfits are purely utilitarian out of necessity. I’m pretty much okay with this.

But I am getting ready to invest in some wardrobe updates, and I want to have an age-appropriate style for home, going out on weekends (We will be able to go out to restaurants and bars again, someday), etc. I want to dress appropriately for my age and maintain a sophisticated edge, but I still want to wear things that are cute. I recently found a pair of piggie slippers that I thought were sooo cute, and I could use a pair of slippers. I felt kind of sad passing them up but also knew I might feel silly wearing them.

Does anyone have any tips or style inspirations?
