Because the welfare of women (i.e being looked after by men) would be obselete as sex is the only thing a woman has to offer a man. If a man can freely get sex there's be no need for a 'relationship' or worse, marriage.

Second, women make up 70/80 % of consumers. They of course spend mens money so again, no relationship, no sales.

"The elite" doesn't exist. Cultures where sex was normalized were invaded by cultures where whores were illegal. Societies are born stoic and die hedonist. Current society still carries a lot of vestiges from stoic cultures, like the apprehension towards whoring and pedophilia. Homosexuality was very recently normalized.

It is the typical double standard, like how the women are whoring themselves out, guys go for it and get busted for paying for it and the women are typically not penalized like the men are.

The Feminists do not like it since they lose control and cannot get what they want, a compliant male (beta) looking for a piece, with the easy chicks and the prostitution this removes the motivation of the guys they want in even looking at them / trying to court them.

I see it as the more avenues guys have to get some other than committing to a slut / feminist the more these feminists lose those guys with the resources they covet as they can get what they really want without having to risk everything for a wet place to put their dick.

in all my travels I've never seen so much prostitution in Thailand. now here is the interesting part, its illegal in the country. here's how they work around it. buddha religion and military both stay, what foreigner and thai lady do in hotel room is there business. so your safe in a hotel room, a brothel is a gray area. then there's tea money but that's a whole subject in itself..

I think it's illegal because of religion (in the USA, because it's not in most countries). Because religion sees that as something dirty, which of course isn't. You rarely take a shower before and after making sex with your partner, nor always use some kind of protection, like the way you do with escorts.
