No and In fact some girls don’t have a hymn. Mine was either broken early from horse back riding and hard work (which can happen it can rip while you’re lifting something) or I was born without one. Actually all the different ways a girl can have a hymn are pretty interesting. Some fully cover the opening, some are just little nuns of tissue.
