As a young man I have been guilty of it especially when I was younger and before I was mature or had any awareness

Of course young men in myself included are going to play along with the game instead of fighting it because like other things in history, if you fight against the main power most of the time it backfires on you something like this when it pertains to masculinities

Men are already expected to take abuse and soak up punishment and if we say anything at all were deemed pussies, fags, weirdos,

It is much easier to hide your true feelings

But it's even more cruel to ask men as a whole to somehow take on that fight without realizing how much it hurts them back. Of course physically I can stand up for myself and my ideas but experience tells me every time I do my masculinity gets taken away from me.

It is super unfair to expect men to somehow take up this fight especially when they're doing it already and there has been no healthy results

Contrary to popular belief the bar is extremely low and men are already doing the most they can it's just that there's such a pushback against men showing vulnerability and most people especially women and feminists don't see it.

If you take away men being the enemy then you can see

How many times has a man been told to man up or not to complain when he is being vulnerable?
