Set boundaries with your family. Be firm, even stern.

If they ask about you getting married, say "Mind your business." If they ask again next week/month/etc., say "I told you to mind your fucking business. Don't make me tell you again. I won't be nice about it next time."

Yeah, they'll get offended. People with no boundaries are the ones who are easiest to offend. Worse, they lack the self-awareness to realize they're doing anything unseemly (irony!).

That's why YOU need to set the boundary. You may hurt their feelings (if that matters to you). But they'll respect your privacy.

I'm in this situation too. I have a girlfriend, but I don't plan on getting married or having children.

I think it would be best to just shut up about it.

You don't need to sell your decisions to others.

I get angry and rage about how my parents and girlfriend will never take any time to understand where I am coming from. Makes me feel like they really don't care about my wellbeing and deep down they probably don't.

They say the only good communist is a dead communist because they are steeped in their dogma so deeply they cannot even attempt to look at Milton friedman or Thomas Sowell.

I would honestly just try to be pleasant and agree with them on everything.

tell them to "go to hell". seriously, when family gets too into your space, don't see any other options. maybe that will cut them off, but that might end up happening anyway. don't think most families want to sever ties with any kid that's not a serious fuck up, so maybe they will start to leave you alone.

A lot of good ideas here. All i have is a dumb one: say you went to the doctor and your incapable of having a child. Pretend to go through a hard time with it, and be devastated and they won't bring it up if they know it hurts you.

I don't like lying, but dealing with family who are pushy? It might be a last resort.
