"The luxury of building a career"? These misandrists are truly deluded. They imagine every man is the rich yacht owning chad they fantasize about and feel rejected by. The truth is most men work in unsatisfying occupations, for the money, often to support their families, not because it's what they would choose to do with their time if they were free. They are expected and required to do alienated work in a dictatorship know as a business, to be exploited by a free loading boss and shareholders. It is women who enjoy the privilege of being supported by men, or society, in ways that facilitate their doing the far more meaningful and un-alienated labour of rearing their own children and keeping their own home. There's a reason so many women chose motherhood over career. Why the few men who have the option are increasing taking it up and keeping the kids and home looked after.

I notice the OP pretends every woman at home being supported by a male partner is keeping up their end of the bargain? Women aren't immune to laziness or dysfunction, they are not automatically hard workers around the home or looking after the kids. Not every men gets supported by their partner.

Look at the top comment on the original post. All MY, MY, MY. Finally she says: “so glad I went back to school instead of relying on alimony” because her alimony money stopped coming. Seriously? So glad? Like she didn’t have agency to do so the WHOLE FUCKING TIME. Whenever housewives complain I hear “I want to be a home body but I need to be a homebody with none of the long term sacrifice”. Then find a job, split childcare costs (hope you can afford your end) and STOP BITCHING.

Don’t support where the fuck do they think the money comes from to support their life. Being a couple is a team thing. Even if the genders were reversed I’d expect the same one works providing funds while the other tends to house work and child care. Spending then is decided as a unit but the person busting their back to bring in the money has majority say. You chose your hand so deal with it.

Sorry but if they want to be a housewife what’s the issue? I’d love to be able to give my family a good home and make homemade meals for them and be involved in my children’s lives instead of being too busy with both my family at work. Where does this girl think housewives get their money to be able to be a housewife? Trees? These men are working hard so that they can earn enough for their wives to be able to buy all the things that their wife does. If my dad did not have a good job my mom would never have been able to do what she does now. Can’t stand people with this mindset. If the man lost his job and had no income, who would be supporting who then!?
