Get a gander of this, everyone.
Although they are using it to talk about editing out harmful genetic sequences, the potential for other uses is obvious. From the embryonic state, you could change everything about a human from the start -- eye color, skin color, hair color, IQ...and sexual behavior.
A large part of our discussion relates to how genetics and hormones influence our sexual behavior. But thanks to the ongoing march of science, this inborn behavior will soon be changeable. No longer will we be able to rely on "millions of years of evolution" or "human nature" which will become every bit as editable as this post.
From what I can tell right here, this technology may well make Game obsolete.
To be fair, sexual behavior is a complex interplay of genes and hormones, and it is controlled by more than just a handful of genes. But now that this can be changed easily, we have to consider the implications for our condition. I could be wrong about at least some of this stuff, but I'm no geneticist or biologist, so some input from people in the relevant fields (or with relevant knowledge) is welcome.
