I posted this story a while back. https://www.reddit.com/r/relationships/comments/le0n12/i_m30_for_denied_my_friends_f30_request_to_take/

Now I did take a step back and not talk to them for a couple months.

Cut to today. I went with the husband to a workshop for an event and we had a conversation. The wife has decided it's time for them to get a seperatation.

She recently got a new job a couple weeks ago and told him that he needs to get out. About a year ago she got him to quit his job and sell his car and now he is going to get kicked out.

She is over 30, gonna be a twice divorced single mom and she wants to find a husband and have another kid in the next couple years.

He told me point blank that she will find men that will find her attractive but they arent going to want to wife her up as much as she thinks.

He then tells me I should not get married or have kids because it's a hassle.

Now I don't have any kids, don't have a desire to get married and have a decent job and a plan for my life. It's taken me a long time to get here and I'm not about to take him in.

Now he has to find a job, car and a place to stay. I don't know how he is going to do it but he is going to have to figure it out. This is why you don't impulsively get married after knowing your wife for two months. I told him I don't know how to help because I never got married or had kids. To avoid this nightmare.

I will support him by suggesting things or lending a listening ear but that's it. I'm so glad I decided to go my own way a long time ago.
