Hello all. I'm looking for advice from a red pill perspective. I hope it's OK to ask here.

Anyway, I am 48-year-old female, divorced.

When I was 21 I dated a 26-year-old guy whom I adored. He ended it after 3 years. I was devastated. In retrospect, I think he had problems and that there was no-one else involved as he'd still come to see me frequently afterwards. I was distant and too full of pride to fight for him.

Anyway, after about four years, I hear he's moved in with a grossly overweight single mom who -I later found out - was sleeping with his married best friend which he KNEW about but he moved in anyway.

They're together for about ten years before she kicks him out as he's frankly an unemployed bum who does nothing. They were fwb's UNTIL his mother wanted him to move out at 35. Make of that what you will.

Anyway he hits rock bottom but picks himself up as nobody to look after him anymore and starts a now fairly successful business.

I met up with him a year ago by accident. We've been friends since. He has asked me to move in but I can 't.

I simply cannot get over the fact that he broke up with me, even though it was a long time ago. I really loved him but he let it go. I was at least a 7 back then. 8 on a good day. Guys hit on me all the time. This woman was ugly in looks and personality but hey he needed somewhere to live. So much for guys trading up, huh?

Part of me says to move on from the past but I just cannot.

I know know I can like other guys as much as him and have most definitely not spent all the years away from him pining.

Please help. I don't know what to do. I'm so angst ridden.

If the answer is to stop seeing him, fine, but give me some practical advice please.
