She's a libfem, free the nipple, kind of girl, but not one to ever have been into porn or bdsm. I'm the opposite, and she knows how kinkmeisha I've been (or, to her, am). She's urged me to "play less with men's feelings" and to not be so cold when I'm dating, so her LVM detector is as weak as mine used to be.
Anyways, I have her to thank for finally being honest in my psychiatric treatment, being correctly diagnosed, and getting on the right medications. She's been my rock. She knows me well, which includes my flip-flop self. I'm now finally stabile and happy though, and gaining confidence in my opinions and views. I know they're not going to suddenly flip lol, and I take care in having to believe in something for months before I'm convinced it's for real. This is me with FDS. This is why I haven't brought her along my journey.
Last night I took the plunge and shared new views with her regarding monogamy and bdsm/kink/porn. She laughed and said yeah uh-huh, and how long is this going to last?
I told her this is forever. She cracked up, but got serious when I told her fucking hell, this is for real - I feel a major change deep within my core. She listened when I reminded her of my newfound stability and explained that I've changed largely due to finding self-worth and gaining more respect and love for myself. She understood and was happy for me.
..
So, now to my title: where do I best go from here to introduce her to this mindset?
Sidenote: I'm already vocal to new women I meet or don't already know well and have only had lovely/funny reactions. My pick me older family friend agreed that a new dude I was seeing "needed to work hard and put effort in for that pussy". Not my words lmao.
Anyways, what do I do with my best friend who knows my pre-FDS self all too well? How do I approach these topics without being dismissed or having her crack up at the huge contrast between old and new me? My hope is that we can have long conversations about these topics and grassroot together.
