The burden of proof lies on whoever makes the claim. If someone says hypergamy exists, then it's on them to prove it. It's not the burden of someone else to disprove it.

“The data in that post show that women on OkCupid rate 80% of men as less attractive than “average” (2.5 out of 5), whereas men rate only about 50% of women that low. This is evidence for some kind of asymmetry, but it’s not clear that whatever is going on resembles hypergamy — women send more than half their messages to men whose photos are rated below 2.5. That doesn’t seem consistent with the claim that women are only satisfied with the best.”

Let me ask you this... Instead of searching for various based "studies" - do you really care? Are you a sociologist? If not, why does it matter? Where are you going to utilize this information? To start a movement or to absorb absolutely subjective information that has no direct impact outside of "I hate X, because Z said to hate X". Or are you working for a private academic organization that requires these papers? For vast majority of people it's completely useless and shoehorning someone with this information, especially in dating the opposite gender will be major put off. They won't care what information you've absorbed, they'll care how you feel right now and these "studies" only make both genders vulnerable by pushing back from making a move in their lives.

Finding recent studies on things like that is going to be pretty hard because it's such a stupid thing to study, honestly. If you believe women are robots who are incapable of love and will drop you the second she finds a richer guy or whatever, that's your fucking problem and honestly, probably projection on your part. There are guys that will drop a woman for a more attractive, younger women and sure there are women that might drop a guy for a richer guy, but not all people do this shit.

All the studies in the stickied thread that disprove hypergamy are from the 20th century. Now, obviously then there was no internet to connect women with millions of other men in the same city so it was quite hard to be hypergamic.

Okay, a few take aways:

The primary goal of the sub would be to help people go back to normalcy rather than disproving red pill. This is because it's assumed that people who want out have already tried it and failed in real life because red pill DOESN'T WORK. For the people who have had their relationships ruined by red pill, or got rejected or humiliated by using their antics this is obvious. For the average dude whose red pill experience refrains to keyboard jokeing or creeping on a few women on Tinder, which is the overwhelming majority of TRPers, they can't really have an opinion until actually employing it in real life.
So the entirity of your belief in hypergamy is based on ONE study that was published by a company rather than an actual peer reviewed journal, based on the highly specific context of online dating and which actually concluded that women send more than half their messages to men whose photos are rated below 2.5, as someone pointed out in another comment. I don't know if you get the proportion of what i'm saying. But this OK Cupid study proves the exact OPPOSITE of hypergamy when women are messaging all the 2.5 men. Again, what does red pill say? "Look what they do, not what they say"? Well, there you have it, evidence that women claim men are ugly yet still message them. End of discussion. The fact that red pill is using a study that dispoves them goes to show the lack of scrutiny they put in their own evidence.
