Don't show it. If you feel the need to show people you're going your own way, you're not truly going your own way. You're just going the way you think will get a desired reaction from others. At the end of the day it's almost the same damn thing as being a blue-pilled doormat. Live the life you want because YOU want it, and let "society" think what it will.

I do not see it as defying anything.

It is more about empowering yourself and making sure you live a positive life.

MGTOW principles do not advocate to defy society. Defiance of society is criminal behaviour by definition.

Just refusing to participate in one aspect of it. It's standing by the side. For example, getting into debt helps the economy. But once you realize debt is harmful to you, just avoid it. Doesn't mean you steal.

This is actually a really good question

What do you find society telling you to do, get married and have kids maybe.

Get a job and destroy yourself climbing the ladder to get to the top, look down and see just how miserable you are.

Do all of that, maybe. What about getting into high debt and buying shit you don't even need or want to buy.

What about traveling to places just to look good to others, just for them to tell you how much they envy you for it.

What about subscribing to an idea that you don't have a say in your life, that you don't get the right to decide how your life is going to work.

What about smaller things such as agreeing to eat out at an expensive place even though you really don't want to.

How does mgtow defy society, well mgtow is as I've said before the crystallization of a single word

It means that I am not afraid to walk away if there is something more suitable for me, better for me, less destructive than the current situation.

I don't agree that I should sacrifice my life for a society that has stated many times I don't belong there

I won't sacrifice my health for a job that makes me want to end my life

I won't buy your shit just because others have, I don't need it

I won't travel to that shitty new country because your girlfriend said it was awesome, one beach is the same as any other

I won't allow you to live with me because I value the things I have more than I value you, I value my safety, freedom and peace.

I won't father your children just so that you can whine about how hard it is to have children, just so that you can decide at any given time you're ok without me, that my kids are fine without me.

No means no.

That's how we defy society, we enjoy being the successful men who are there but not engaging, we enjoy being the successful men with loads to offer, we don't make the offer though. We enjoy being the men who give you one chance, and are always happy to say this is my red line.
