Recently a friend of mine, that is admittedly a simp, had his wife die. It was a long several years going in and out of cancer remission and a finality so it was a slow burn.

So I offered to drive him, and his son, to Vegas. No reason, he can go or not go, but he refused, so I offered up the trip to the "group". All expenses paid, you literally just sit in my "rape van" while I drive and pay for everything. Have some camping, eating over an fire, enjoying national parks and the fun of driving across the county, etc.

See my stupid ass thought people were up for adventure, all I heard was excuses as to why the wife or kids were an impediment. This is the same reason I don't take women on trips. They can't adventure.

Maybe I'm weird, but most of my memories were spur of the moment trips with my father, and hanging out on the shores of the Red Sea fishing and murdering local wildlife for food.

But lest I get into a 5 hour conversation about food, it's amazing (to me) how little anyone goes on an adventure. It doesn't have to be amazing, it doesn't even have to be distant, but people can't go 5 minutes with Netflix or take their kids on a vacation or tell the wife "we're leaving for a couple weeks". It's pathetic. And I supply unlimited high speed internet when I travel.

So that's what I learned today, is that your average men won't go have "fun" on a whim, because they can't. It's sad people want to live like this.
