My wife and I started watching this show because a) I love soccer and b) It was funny enough to watch every couple nights.

But every time the background story—Lasso facing a divorce while overseas managing a professional soccer team—emerged, my wife would ball her eyes out. I sometimes feel like she was somehow influenced to do all of this because of that damn show... Anyone else? Anyone?

Not saying that’s the only reason, but just one more subtle push in that direction.
