A little backstory.. It's not exciting. I was married young, had 2 kids before 30, and was divorced from my ex just short of 9 years. I am now approaching on the 1 year anniversary of my divorce. When we were divorcing.. I had no idea what I was doing, could barely afford a lawyer and just wanted to get out and give the ex whatever she wanted to make things easy. she kept everything except my clothes, my motorcycle and my car.

I have been really struggling financially since. I understand part of that was trying to maintain my previous way of life and I have since made changes to save money. I wanted to lay out some of the bullets that are in the divorce agreement and just get another point of view as to weather I am getting bled dry or am I holding up my end. I want things to be fair for both parties in the end.

I live in the Northern VA area, not exactly the cheapest place to live as a single dad.

My current salary is just over comes out to under 3600 a month. I am responsible for:

CS - 892
Daycare - 185 (School Provided care for 2)
Kids Ortho (monthly) - 117
Kids Ortho 675 (this was half of the down payment for both kids.
Half of all medical bills.

I see kids once a weekday and every other weekend.

Do i just need to be better with money? or am I getting the short end?
