Record everything is a good idea. Grab any documents that you'll need like marriage certificate, your own documents. Consult your lawyer on some of this too because depending where you are or who she's become it could get very difficult from this point forward.

Recording yourself may seem like over kill and it may not be necessary it could be huge to prove that you didn't destroy the place and cherished items if she chose to cause damage after you left. I'd have your buddy record everything on his phone with a new SD card so you don't lose anything. Have him record you go upto the door and walk in. Have him record everything you do and touch. Have him record you putting all your items in boxes and putting them outside or in the vehicle. Then at the end have him record you closing and locking the door and checking if the door is locked and putting the key back where it is supposed to be.

It honestly sounds like overkill and only you know your wife but if she was the same person you loved you wouldn't be in this situation.

I'm really sorry to hear about your divorce but you'll get through this man took me 9 months to get past the pain and I'm a greater man for it.

I would video everything. I have been going through a horrible divorce that has lasted over 25 months now. Even though the judge has made a ruling after an 8 day trial, her attorney is filing another continuation for final settlement. My ex filed a vpo and it took me over a year to get a single item back from my home. The judicial system in Oklahoma is biased and completely corrupt. I was married for 15 years and there was no history of police calls or violence whatsoever. That didnt matter to the court system. I told my ex I wanted a divorce and literally 5 days later I had a sherriff at my door to escort me out of my house. All it took was my ex to make some false allegations and say I had a gun. I havent ever owned a gun and there wasnt even one piece of evidence to prove I did but again didnt mstter to the judge. I never had due process and the entire proceedings I was treated like a criminal even though I did not do a thing wrong beside ask for a divorce.

If I were your ex, I would have a camera recording what you are taking and I actually think that is a great idea. You need to act as if she has hidden cameras throughout the house in hopes of catching you doing something shitty. If you do something shitty, it will bite you back tenfold and so be very careful with what you do.

You need to record (running video) with everything that you do to prove you are being honorable. Ask your friend to do it so you can protect yourself as well.

In my case, I had the local cop present. See if that is possible.
