Do not leave your house, no matter what. Check recording laws for your state and take advantage of them. File police reports and get RO against your wife (for you and your child) if at all necessary do this before she has a chance to.

This sub isn't necessarily pro-divorce. Before you make any decisions, think about your child and your future. If your relationship is strained (which it most certainly is if you're filing BK) please consider counseling first. Teach your child that things can be fixed - even relationships, even people. It takes work and it takes time, but it beats getting your ass handed to you in divorce court with a combative ex when you could have saved your family.

That being said -

Bankruptcy is most likely for the 2 of you. The divorce won't go through until your financial and custody issues are hammered out.

If your marriage is truly unsalvageable, lawyer up best you can and deliver a heavily one-sided, shock and awe separation agreement so she has nowhere to go but backward in her upcoming ridiculous demands.

Do not let her get wind of your plans to leave.
