Since a number of folks saw the video: I will not ignore my faults. My actions did take part in the destruction of the car I've spent dozens of hours modifying, cleaning, and making my own. Trust me, I'm suffering mentally pretty considerably because of it.

Insurance ruled it an 80/20, and not even because I was passing on the right, but because I was speeding. In terms of the accident, the white car in the video isn't involved at all. They drove off and thus no information was exchanged. Their car somehow came out untouched.

My actions, while not completely free of fault, do not excuse the actions of the other driver, regardless of where I was on the road, the other driver made a right hand turn from the left lane.

I got nearly the full value of my car, while they will likely receive a fraction of what their very very common car is worth. I'm very happy and lucky to have gotten that 80/20, and my insurance was behind me with this.

Say what you will, of course I'm gonna get annoyed and defensive at this. It's tough to admit my faults and I'm not going to pretend it's not. I've learned to not attempt a move like that again, and hopefully the other driver learned she's equally unfit for the road.
