It’s heartbreaking how women get lighter sentances because a woman raping a man is not seen as “real rape” by most people. One of my guy friends literally said that men who got raped my women were lucky, it’s disgusting

Mary Kay Letourneau was a teacher in Burien Washington. It is close to where I live. She was convicted of two counts of child rape which started when the boy was 12 and in her 6th grade class. While awaiting sentencing she gave birth to the boys child. She was sentenced to six months in jail, 3 months of which was suspended. She was ordered to no longer see the boy. She violated this order a number of times and continued having sex with the minor boy. I don't know the total time she spent in jail and even after continuing to violate court orders and continuing to have sex with a minor child, I don't think she ever served more than a year.

Update, just looked it up and she did end up spending more time than I thought and spent from 1998 to 2004 in prison. But this was only after committing more offenses and becoming pregnant with a second child. The judge simply revoked her plea deal on the first charges but she never was charged for raping the child again.
