there are a whole range of people, from non-binary to very lesbian to straight at my school which is cool, lots of diversity. But so many of them genuinely hate men. I've heard girls say that 'being a man is the default gender' and that 'men can't be oppressed'. Both of which are so inherently wrong, firstly, there is no 'default gender', we all know very well you can't choose your gender, you're either born it or feel very much like that gender so you transition, so saying there's a default, makes 0 sense, and is sexist. Secondly, men can and are oppressed, there are countless accounts of male people being raped by women on this sub and many other places! And not only that, these people are actively oppressing men! OH THE IRONY.
I get really pissed whenever i hear this sexist talk go around the people at my school (i hear it all the time) so obviously i had to ask. I've asked a few people why they think all men are bad and their answers all go something along the line of 'well in the past men have oppressed women ect. ect.'... yes they do speak the truth here, but that was in the past, aka not now, times have changed. Another argument is that 'Men rape women, so they're all bad and untrustworthy', true, women do get raped. But, so do men, and this also doesn't mean every man under the sun is a rapist - quite the contrary actually! I remember one time talking with a group of friends (i use friends very loosely here) discussing being trans and discussing pronouns - one of the girls in our group was questioning their gender - and one of these fuckers said this: 'I don't want to go by he/him because of the things associated with it'. hello?????? The things associated with the male gender?????? It's a gender.
I really don't understand their logic or point of view, especially when I've heard a few too many of these feminazis spout nonsense like 'Well men have never really been oppressed like women have so it's ok to be sexist, but i don't think it's sexist, i think it's karma'. Where did these ideas come from??? What happened to fighting for equality???? And why on Earth do I have to talk to these people practically every day.
edit: I've got a few comments saying that this post was designed to do well here or that I'm just confirming to what Reddit wants for karma and I really want to make this clear. That is WRONG. I'm not looking for karma I just really wanted to share my experience and to express my anger, because obviously this type of thing pisses me off. I'm not a pickme girl, I am just a girl who wants equal rights for everyone. To everyone else though, thanks for the support it's really good to know that the world isn't full of the people like the ones around me.

Because we aren't really seen as people. Simple as that.

It is just an excuse for them to be abusive and do what they want without having to feel bad that they are fucking someone over when that is exactly what they are doing. Anything to justify their behavior and not have to take responsibility for it. It is the same behavior that children do, blame everyone else and never accept responsibility for anything they do.

The thing that infuriates me to no end is that the most activism we get outside of this sub is literally just stating the obvious. no shit it's sexist to generalise an entire gender but it is so frustrating to see all this focus going to such irrelevant things while real, tangible issues that men face are swept under a rug. everyone will say "oh thats not real feminism thats feminazi" "they are misandrists". all this focus is wasted on stupid things said by self-proclaimed feminists, but there is no focus on the inhumane things done by the system to men. even men themselves are oblivious to it, never having been taught to diagnose how the system treats them. if the issues on the sidebar of this sub got half as much attention as posts like these, we would be in a much better situation because people have to realize, people have to look at different perspectives, and once they do they will understand the oppression of the system.

The TOS of most social media is built to 'protect women'. Frank discussions about men's rights are flagged as hate speech and taken down. You are right, awareness is the most significant stumbling block, and the hill we walk is only getting steeper.

If you replace "men" with "jew" you will find it's exactly the same kind of thinking going on in Germany just before the rise of the third Reich. There are all justifications for oppressing people.

James Lindsay translated large portions of Mein Kampf into english, and then replaced 'jew' with 'man' and 'german' with 'woman' and it got published in several academic feminist publications.
Feminazi might be a meme, but it's also true lmao

In twenty years they'll wonder where are all the men to marry?
[β]WingsofSky 5 points6 points7 points (0 children) | Copy Link
That's already today.
Some women are sabotaging men's higher education.
Then crying about how men are poor and what not.
[β]SuperSupremeKai 4 points5 points6 points (0 children) | Copy Link
They're starting to wonder about that now. See all the "where are the good men" articles floating about.

Don't interact with those kinds of girls then, and retaliate if they call you names, simple as that.

All female school. Hates men.
How ironic. π€¦π»ββοΈ
Meanwhile, a majority male group in any capacity can barely exist even if the men don't speak negative about women.
"Do as I say, not as I do," TO THE MAX.
