A nightclub security video showing his rape accuser leading him to have sex caused a judge to toss the criminal case against him, declaring it did not meet the minimal pretrial evidential burden. USC expelled him anyway! He filed a civil suit & was just reinstated.

A woman with an STD infects a man she has consensual sex with, then falsely accuses him of rape because she was afraid he was going to report her to the authorities for infecting him. She said she was "scared and didn’t know what to do."

Campaign: complimenting a woman, asking for her number, or giving her any attention is regarded as predatory in the off-chance it is unwanted. At some point, even a cynic should wonder if the purpose is simply to demonize men.

A false sex-assault accuser has been sentenced: 12 years probation and "court costs and fees totaling $290 in $100 monthly installments beginning 30 days after she was sentenced." Basically, probation + the cost of a Nintendo Switch, on an installment plan.

Lawsuit: a university counselor initiated an unauthorized investigation against a falsely accused student who confided in her about the pain of being wrongly accused. This resulted in him being dismissed from the program.

  • Female survivor/LGBTQ advocate sues James Madison University for due process, Title IX violations

I'm glad she's survived being female.

  • Yesterday, plaintiff Alyssa Reid filed a lawsuit in West Virginia District Court alleging due process, Title IX, and other violations by James Madison University staff over a Title IX investigation that, she alleges, was enacted “to exact revenge for a bad breakup” with her ex-girlfriend Kathryn Lese.

  • The complaint states that Reid was “passionate about education and teaching and felt especially compelled to help her students craft their own voices in order to advocate for those things that were important to them, whether it be the arts, politics, LGBTQ issues, or interpersonal relationships. She has long been a staunch advocate for survivors of harassment and abuse and used her debating and communications skills to give voice to their experiences [emphasis added].”

  • The strongly-worded complaint involves language commonly used to describe the plight of male plaintiffs (“weaponized Title IX,” “revenge for a bad breakup,” “he said, she said,” etc.).

Welcome to men's reality.

Now if they treated all Title IX complaints the same this horseshit would be straightened out pretty quickly. As it is the complainant got the woman's track, even though the complaint was about another women. If a man had made the exact same complaint they would have dismissed it as without merit.

Sounds like a complaint about a person in a position of power, abusing that power to coerse another person into a non-consensual relationship. The power differential is one of the key facts. I guess Reid, being a LBGTI academic, will argue that both parties being female negates the power differential, as only men can exert power over women?

It would be interesting to see how this pans out. But being a US case, the judgement is likely to be political rather than juristic.

What's that.. its unfair that you don't get due process to defend yourself from claims? or have the right to face your accuser or cross examine them?

I wonder if maybe this case will reveal just a smidgen of how it feels to be a man going through a Title IX claim against him...

If I were to talk to her, the first question I would ask is "When you heard of a male on campus going thru something like this , did you stand up and raise your voice to help him OR did you simply exclaim 'Believe all women' "

OR did you simply exclaim 'Believe all women'

My first reaction is "as though you'd get an honest answer." I get what you're saying, though.

Imagine that, title IX destroying someone's life.

Shocking isn't it?
