I went through a nasty divorce... Took almost 5 years to play out. My advice is to consider it a loss, the cost of doing business with women.

You'll stress yourself out, arguments may put you in a situation where she claims assault or some shit, and you'll only really make your life worse even if you're in the right.

My ex asked/took primary custody of our 3 kids even though we lived 1/2 mile apart and kids were old enough to navigate school/houses, etc... But it gets her about $120,000 over about 8 years. She also tried to create altercations where she could play victim. I don't even exit my car if I have to pick kids up or drop them off. Keep your cell phone handy to record video and whatever you do, don't let her weasle back into your life.

We had opposite schedules, she coulda had them at night and I coulda been the responsible one for daytime coverage all year long (we both made about $100k at the time). But she wanted the personal F-you added in. After court ruled that way, she has no problem letting kids spend all the time they want with me... But of course, $$$ was the important thing.

Walk away, and learn from this. There is very little reason to welcome the government into your relationship by marriage. All the stories on this kinda thread exist for a reason.

Throwing your things away and generally destroying your property may be a form of domestic abuse or violence in some jurisdictions.

At any rate, this violent pig owes you money for destroying your property. She probably saw you as a boy toy and pet.

One thing ive learned having gone thru a divorce. The cost of lawyers is high. The cost of using court facilities is high.

Shes being an absolute bitch.

Your loss is actually very small compared to some.

Just walk. You can recoup those losses with less emotional energy by just working.

Next time. If you sense that kind of stuff happening, dont put money you intend to be for yourself in a shared pot your partner can quickly steal from.

Shady divorces often end in a freeforall and whoever has the money on hand often wins unless it goes to court.

If anybody asks you, tell them the truth and be very relaxed calm and friendly and dont elaborate. Itll be hard to know who really believes you anyways as they often wont tell you and may even mine you for info. All your mutual "friends" are figuring out where they stand so let it go.

$2500 is not worth your mental stress or time. Cut her off and move on. I know that seems like a lot of money if you are young but just look at it positively. At least you didn’t wind up married

Asking r/legaladvice is better or even a lawyer. Legally you can but it depends of the judge.

Learn from it. Don't put your money in a shared pot, whatever she says about "trust", you cannot trust someone who has so much power over you.
