I found it after seeing it mentioned on reddit. I love reading up on controversial topics so I had to check it out of course! At first I agreed with the general negative opinions, but there was enough that I would see and think to myself "yeah... That's true..." that I kept coming back. After exploring some other parts (mmsl, red pill wifey, etc) I liked it enough to join in on the fun :)

I pretty much found it through my SO, I've known about TRP for a while, and sometimes read the stuff there, but really couldn't bring myself to be involved with the community. I felt, at best, unwelcome there. When redpillschool created this offshoot, I was greatful, because it was a community of like minded individuals.

I found it via RedPillWifey's blog. This Reddit, that is. I found out about Red Pill via the Red Pill Room blog which I saw my husband reading one day after he Googled something like "masculinity".

Or was it just a name for how you'd always felt?

This is exactly it for me.

So your husband had been a little involved before you both got more into the community? Or you discovered it together?

Thanks for answering.

I wouldn't say my husband was or is involved. He had read a post once before and bookmarked it to come back to. My husband doesn't really get involved in stuff like this. He reads things, finds them interesting or doesn't, and that's about it. I am far more involved he just likes what it has to say and that's that.

Edited to add: he didin't even realize Red Pill was a thing beyond that blog's theme until I got more into it. I told him about the community.

What is this?

feminism=female supremacy and is anti-human nature, rousseauvian blank slate romanticism that has no actual basis in the human condition. so no, i would say none of us are "feminists". feminism didnt invent women working, going to school or having any sort of life outside of being a homemaker. women have always done those things.

what feminism did do was cause a critical mass of women to enter the world of men as direct competition, and then to use success in traditional male roles as the sole measure of a women worth TO OTHER WOMEN and to project onto MEN that success is male roles was attractive in women. this is patently false and no amount of men telling feminists otherwise convinces them. men are not attracted to "strong, intelligent educated successful competitive" women. they may be attracted to a woman despite those things, but they are attracted to her primarily for what MEN value, looks, youth, compliance, sweetness, etc

i am not a traditionalist because there IS no "tradition", traditionally poor women have worked like dogs on farms from dawn til dusk or took piecework in the home, or did laundry or 100 other things to supplement family income, or aristocratic women have been indolent, odalisque wives spending their time socializing with other women and doing needlework, orother women of various classes have been courtesans, prostitutes, mistresses, servants or drudges. i find it interesting that nonmarried, sexually active women dont think they are any of these things. if you "date" or live with a man for ten of the best looking years of your life while he builds himself up and matures, and then you break up and he marries a 24 year old, guess what, you were a courtesan. if you work youre whole life for someone else, you are a servant. the names change, the forms stay the same

I'd like to marry this paragraph. Or at least give it some real good lovin'.

Something certainly moved when I read this.

I found it to name some of what I've always known. The real attraction, for me, is the strong bias on reality. Just getting people to focus on that is a large enough feat to be worthy.

I found it a little over two years ago and it just sounded so good to have a strong, guiding hand through life. I had always been the one to run the relationship, because it was expected of me throughout society, and I didn't know any better. We were spinning our wheels for decades.

My husband and I were always equals and partners and it didn't work out as well. Yesterday he said, "We were partners and we were a pretty good team, but what I didn't realize until recently is that every team needs a leader."

So simple. Now I feel like we are on a forward path instead of rowing around in circles.

My boyfriend just introduced me to this community today. I have already read two articles that have made me cry. Why? Because they put into words things I have FELT for a long time, but until now, I didn't have the means OR vocabulary to put them into a communicable format.

There are some very outspoken feminists in my life, and I often feel alienated by them because there is no space in their world for MY experiences and thoughts. Especially when it comes to submission. My boyfriend linked me directly to a wonderful thread reddit that opened up a world of new understanding to me. I am naturally submissive to the people in my life that I respect and trust...but this behavior (when applied to a man) was always met with backlash. I have been told that I need to act a certain way, EVEN IF it is contrary to my personality, and that being true to myself rendered me ignorant, simple, invalid as a modern woman and weak.

I see views and opinions and explanations here that allow me to breathe easier, and feel connected. A tremendous weight has been lifted from my chest and suddenly-- I see myself more clearly.

I am so elated and thankful right now. I have never spent any time on Reddit (or any of the sub-Reddits), but scanning over a few of the threads here was enough to compel me to create an account JUST so I could submit this comment.
