I'm quite happy to get to experience many of the items on the top list, but honestly in many ways I think I would give much of it up to live in a simpler time. I'm conflicted because I do think women should have the choice to get an education and work if they want to, and forego having children if they don't want them, but selfishly I hate that it's made it so much harder for me to make the choice to be mostly a housewife.

The expectations are different of women now, and I would love to not have to explain myself or get funny looks when the "rules" of my marriage come up for some reason. I know I wouldn't have access or wouldn't be able to do/have many of the things that are important to me if I were born in another time, and perhaps the grass is simply greener on the other side. Either way, I enjoyed the post. :)

Wait... what's wrong with wanting to serve your country? I've never dreamed of becoming a soldier but I see nothing wrong with women wanting to serve in the armed forces.
