i always feel like i'd come off as lazy if i told people i want to be a stay at home mom (really only the boyfriend knows) so this has been a great read. thank you!

Though I absolutely love my job and my career, I would do anything to be a stay at home parent. Hopefully by the time we have kids my husband will be making enough money for that to happen, or so I can at least work part-time!

As a man, in this day and age this is simply not true. This only only true for the men in the top 3%, which most women will not get, and shouldn't expect getting, or should be grateful if they have.

I make 90k and it's simply not a luxury for my partner and child to depend on me entirely, and would be insulted if my partner expected me to sell out to soul-sucking finance or consulting to fund her dream.
