A plate spinner is a person, who has sexual relations with one or more women, while withholding investment that typical of a relationship. This typical investment normally takes the form of emotional investment, financial investment, and even the investment of time.

Women typically separate men into two categories. Plate-spinners and relationship minded. Relationship minded men are much more willing to invest in women plate spinners, so they are seen as more viable long term partners.

This is only partially true. It is true that it is easier to gain relationships from relationship minded individuals, but it is not true that plate spinners are unwilling to have relationships. The only reason that a plate spinner wouldn’t want to be in a relationship would be if it had no benefit for them. From a woman’s perspective, the life of a plate spinner looks great. All sex, all the time, and no responsibilities. What would the advantage of a relationship have for such a man? But, I could ask the same thing about the relationship minded man. What advantage does a relationship have for him? If spinning plates is such a great deal, then why doesn’t the relationship minded man join? Those of you that have SOs know that relationship minded men choose to have relationships because the relationship in itself can have intrinsic value for them. The value of being with someone they enjoy spending time with, the value of taking care of someone that they care about, the value of caring about someone, etc.

The fact is, plate spinning isn’t such a great deal, and relationship minded men know that. What motivates a plate spinner, isn’t that they don’t want a relationship, it’s that they are unwilling to wait for a relationship. A plate spinner knows that finding a good woman is rare, and that there is no advantage to sitting around celibate waiting for one. Plate spinners are men who are just trying to make the most of a world in which women worth committing to, for the most part, aren’t around. Men, even plate spinners, want good women to commit to, because there’s value for them in having relationships. This is why we get male TRPers in here all the time saying “I wish I could find women like you.” Not so that they can pump and dump us, but because being a woman who embodies feminine traits makes men thrilled at the idea of keeping such a woman around. They know having a woman “like us” would benefit their lives, and give them the opportunity to have all the great things that come from relationships that they wouldn’t have otherwise.

Plate spinners want love and companionship just like everyone else, and they are in the unfortunate position where they haven’t found anyone who they could share that with. They are just people trying to make the most of a bad situation. They want a woman they can love, and if you want a plate spinner to commit to you, you have to be that woman.
