This sounds right to me.

I think, what worked for me was after a bit of soul searching was, just work on yourself, change what you have complete control over, be willing to put in the work, be the best you can be, and things will just... somehow fall into place.

I mean if you find yourself lonely and wanting to have a lifelong partner, then you oughta put the work to get the partner. You can't simply expect a partner to fall into your lap.

Likewise, if you're fat and miserable and people are giving you hell for being fat, then you might as well put in the effort to make those people shut up.

Life is a journey, and the destination doesn't matter. It's how you get to it that matters, because I guarantee you, you're going to get lost but somehow get back on the path. (I'm still young, but I sure as hell don't know where I'm going. I just know that I can't go back to where I was if I was spinning in circles.)

I've always been the girl who wasn't satisfied with "casual" dating and dreamt of marriage to a wonderful man and raising a family. This dream hasn't changed, but I recently came across a big turning point when it came to my idea of dating.

Look at whatever you want most - be it a job, a man, a nice house, a new dress, whatever - as something to ADD to your life, not COMPLETE it. As you said OP, when a girl has her life together she gives off confidence rather than desperation, which is deadly to any relationship.

Now, I'm not an advocating that "turning heads"=how hot you are. I'm advocating for realistic confidence, humble aptitude, and a drive to be the best you can be. Once you have that, all you have to do is be approachable and not a bitch. You will attract women and men all.the.time.

I disagree that all you have to do is be "approachable and not a bitch". Appearance is an extremely important aspect of attracting men and improving in that area should be a top priority for women who are interested in gaining long term, exclusive commitment from a quality man. The more attractive you are, the more options you have. More men will find you worth approaching. It doesn't matter how great you feel on the inside, if you don't look appealing you will not have a chance at a relationship with the type of man that you want. A great attitude is essential to relationship success but men see you first before they get to interact with you, and that initial impression is critical.

If you're in your early 20s, you don't have to know what you really want in life; you can move forward by figuring out what you don't like and taking it away from your life.

Again I disagree; the early 20s are the exact time to plan for the future and get married. Women are at their prime and have the best chances with the men on their level or even a bit higher. It's important that women take advantage of their youth and beauty while they can and act intentionally based on the goals and resolutions that they set.

Fact is, there are over 7 billion people in the world, and I have no clue why someone would think that they are alone because you aren't...either sex is not alone e.g. video).
