Follow up to another post. How r/feminist ban. (Also I didn't find any "informativity rule") is this allowed? I'm not particularly against feminists as a whole but this subreddit sucks.

It's a tightly controlled cult echo chamber. If you don't parrot what they want you to say, they will simply silence you. If they allow free thinking and debate, their facade will come down and people might see through their bullshit. They can't have that.

They can ban whoever they want, as there is nobody that is holding them accountable. I guess you could try to appeal it to whoever actually ownes Reddit, but good luck with that. Man hating is almost encouraged here.

This is the rule though: Informativity rule: all ideological considerations must show actual understanding of the relevant feminist concepts. Comments consisting of exploratory/follow-up questions, in good faith, are an exception.

Please avoid: biases coming from a position of privilege (gender, race, class, sexual orientation); conflating informed consent with formal consent (consider past trauma/PTSD, emotional/mental issues, or coercion); fetishizing choice (when choice itself is insufficient: selling one's vote).

Essentially they can ban you for anything.

Calling that a tantrum though? They must faint if anyone ever raises their voice in real life.

I got banned for violating this mysterious "informativity rule - sidebar" thing too. Does anyone have any idea what it means? It goes without saying that asking the mods was useless.

Join the club... most of us here are banned from that sub, many on the very first post. They have zero tolerance for anything that goes against their agenda. Don't waste time arguing with them.
