TBH, I'd probably interpret her changing the initial request for seperate checks to having everything put on one bill as her indicating she planned to pay for everything.
Which means I'd probably being thanking her for paying and giving her some low-key praise for making a material effort to achieve gender equality, rather than asking WTF like the dude there did.
I'm curious if the girl is enough of an asshole that she'd still explain that she's a sack of shit and asked for one check with no plan of paying, or if she'd play along with the misunderstanding and pay the bill.
I'd almost prefer the former, as then I could thank/praise her for saving me so much time by making it so clear so soon that she wasn't the right person for me.
