Maybe I'm ignorant here, but why do they make shelters for purely women? Should you not make one for everyone regardless of gender?

There's a guy here making noise about his company supporting the sexist white ribbon organization. He's sent emails to HR and has done a good job both covering his ass and objecting to his company's involvement.

There really ought to be homeless shelters in your area for men that they could donate to so I see no reason why they couldn't at least support both.

If your company is big and has a large social media presence, I'll bet they do this because it looks good online and gets them a lot of virtue signalling points. Supporting male shelters isn't fashionable in the online world. If they ask you to contribute, you can ask them to consider supporting male shelters, or better yet, start a fund raising of your own. If it's mandatory, you can't do much.

Ok, and? Let them. Make your own thing if your that worried about men on the street. I see where your coming from and I agree homeless men need more support but taking away attention from women isn't going to do it. It'll end up just reversing the problem. Why don't you donate to a gender neutral homeless help charity? And try to get other people to donate? Instead of just saying "but what about men"?
