Hi girls. I've been reading a lot about RPW for a while. I wanted to know what you think of my situation: I lost my awesome boyfriend because I was too focused on work and had some emotional issues.
TL;DR: I've felt overwhelmed of my responsibilities, so I carry that baggage all day long and it made me ignore other aspects of my life and my relationship, so he broke up with me after dating for about a year and a half.
He's super masculine, strong, an hard worker, an achiever, super smart and creative, handsome, sexy, and he's got extremely strong values. He has this super sweet side and really treated me like a princess all the time. Attention, gifts, sweet details, amazing sex, and he was completely crazy about me. I think that he's a little better looking than me, I'm cute and have a nice body, but also when he fell for me, I was more feminine, my looks were softer, I cared a lot about my appearance...
I think that I've got good smv, I'm good looking, I'm interesting, funny, talented, independent, honest, loyal, loving, not bitchy, don't nag, not jealous, get along with his friends, his family loves me, and I used to be very sexual ...But because of my responsibilities I started neglecting several aspects of my life and relationship. I started being really monotonous and was tired all the time for doing fun or sweet stuff with him. I stopped doing my makeup, sometimes wore ugly workout clothing, also because I live in a country where men are extremely harassing on the streets, so I tried to be less atractive for them - they're scary - and sometimes because of lack of time I couldn't go home and get pretty for him before going out. Most of the time I received him with my apartment looking like a disgusting mess. I stopped cooking, which was one of my best talents and my main way of doing stuff for him. I had a very busy time with university and work where I couldn't cook healthy meals to eat, I didn't have much money to spend on healthy food, and although my body still looked good, it wasn't as good as it used to be when we first started dating. And on top of it all, the stress and my lack of self-care led me to feel weird during sex - and sometimes avoid it.
He broke up with because "he needed to focus more on his own life and fix his issues", but I don't really believe him, he's never showed signs of feeling that - on the other hand he had told me several times to fix my lack of attentions. He was basically carrying all the weight of the relationship, and I think it took a toll on him.
But I really think that this guy is the best for me, he's all I've ever wanted. He's got a VERY particular set of qualities, tastes, hobbies and values that make him a total perfect match with me. I haven't even met anyone else with that kind of good qualities (who isn't a total beta). So I really want him back!
He loves sweet details, so I was planning to ask his best girl friend to help me (she loves us together too) make him a surprise at her place. He totally loves surprises. I want to decorate the patio with lights and bake him something like his favorite cake and coffee so that we could talk. I wrote in detail all the aspects that I recently realized that I had to change and that he was right all the time. I want to ask him, that if he really needs to focus more on his career (i don't think that was actually the problem, but anyway), to let me do most of the work of the relationship so that he can just relax and be. I'd like to read all those things to him, and then tell him to think about it and if he wants me back.
I have a list of ideas of sweet things, recipes, and ways to reminding myself to do them. I wouldn't show it to him, because is my personal plan, but I want to tell him that I've got a concrete plan for myself. Also, I decided that I will start taking more care of my appearance like i used to, for myself too, so that I can feel more attractive.
What do you think of my surprise idea? He loves loves loves those kinds of details. But now that he doesn't want me anymore I don't know if he'll be like.. wtf you set me up. The day after we broke up I asked him to stay and give me another chance but I didn't have any plan or solutions to give to him, so he just asked me to stop, so that we don't hurt each other, and since it's been four days and I haven't contacted him, and don't plan to do for at least a week or two so that he doesn't feel smothered or that I'm desperate (although I kinda am).
Thanks for your comments :)
