Does this sub consider r/MensLib to be a part of the Men's Rights Movement?

MensLib is a women first approach to men.

Women are never wrong, and are never the source of any wrongdoings.

For instance, in a thread where they allowed ( you read that right, allowed) men to discuss being raped by women, they made it clear up front, you were only allowed to discuss what happened to you ,if you didn't offend women in the process.

The trauma that men went through in their rape was second to the feelings of random women.

That's MensLib in a nutshell.

What beliefs are similar? They are the people think that all men’s issues are related to “toxic masculinity” and that men just need to talk about their feelings more. They basically just parrot feminism’s understanding of men’s issues. They get uncomfortable when talking about any issue where males might have it harder than females and generally operate with a “women’s rights first” mentality.

By the way, I had a glance through your tiny post history and saw that your post had been removed on the MensLib sub and the mod even says they reject us so that's your theory completely blown away. It seems you're coming at this having done zero research and have no prior knowledge about MRM.

It's a sub for self-hating men who've bought the all-masculinity-is-toxic bullshit from feminists. It is like the Reddit spawn point for white-knights, nu-males, and literal cucks.

When it comes to dealing with legitimate problems men face it's always "tomorrow" or "when women finally have equality" (Feminism has no end-game, it's a religion now), and never ever "today". If you point this out or criticize women, at all, you will be brigaded and banned.

Basically its an r/feminism puppet-sub where masculinity goes to die.

Bonus MensLib: "fixed" is the veterinary euphemism.

Well try odd topics like wage gap, pink tax, domestic violence, definition of rape, male rape, ... I did see very different assumptions and therefore different conclusions on those topics that did not share any intersection.

From what I can tell, /r/menslib supports the former right and censors the latter.

Here's my outlook on menslib

When third and fourth wave feminism says that men don't have an opinion in women's issues because they have a penis, then it's a double standard to then allow women to have a say in men's issues.

Once that double standard is addressed, then I think it can be a part of the men's rights (or broader egalitarian) movement.

Hi, I'm from Germany.

Here it is the case that a men's movement only gets close to government circles if it represents some feminist narratives.

For example, not "proud masculinity" but "critical masculinity". Or "Wage Gap". Or "toxic masculinity". Or the violent masculine.

The movement, here in my country, is only allowed "under" the wing of the feminist hen. Not at the same eye level, and certainly not with an equal influence.

I have the impression that male movements should allow feminist infiltration, or they are not recognized by the feminist establishment.

Since I think that male love, tears, depressions, worries, fears and hardships are also something male, just as female violence, power, influence, manipulation is also female.

I just think that people want to extend the rare male behaviour patterns, generalizing to all masculine and all men and brainwashing them with the term "toxic masculinity", do not want to take salutary steps towards gender justice, but want to defend the sovereignty of interpretation, and don't want to give anything away from the power positions they have reached in the meantime.

Today's feminism wants to insist that "toxic masculinity" is inherent in the man per se, and that female misconduct is "internalized masculinity".

And I'm not going along with that.

A functioning men's movement must free itself from feminist infiltration and insist on equal footing.

While I do admire their idea of passivity when it comes to discussing men's issues, they pander far too much to feminist ideas such as "toxic masculinity", "man-splaining" and "male privilege" these ideas simply can not co-habitat with our own beliefs as these feminist ideas holster the perception that men are at fault for both women's issues and men's issues and are often used to shut men down when they seek to express their own opinions on gender related issues, I would also like to note that the men of the MensLib community have an almost apologetic attitude to female members of the sub which is pretty reminiscent of male feminists that kowtow to women.

Interesting you should ask that. I had been meaning to make a text post about Menslib on this sub any day now. I personally don't think Menslib is completely misguided, and indeed I think many users of this sub and Menslib users even agree on some issues. Menslib is more sympathetic to feminism and in turn has the general belief that men are at fault for all the problems that plague them and if they just changed themselves and supported feminism qithout question ther wouldn't be any inequality against men. Thing is, a lot of what's discussed on this sub and on the Menslib sub, when you look you'll find a lot of the same talking points brought up, just with different ideas of how to combat the inequalities discussed. I think this sub could do to be less hostile to mens lib and see if we couldn't get the users of Menslib to suggest people check out our sub once they realize we're effectively talking about the same problems from different perspectives. Wikipedia says that MRAs and Menslib separated in two from a once wider Men's Activism movement. I don't think this sub and Menslib will see eachother becoming best friends, but I do think it could help our cause and get more people to side with us if users of both subs didn't perceive each other as enemies, you know?
