Twirling round the living room lightly waving a feather duster is sexy and feminine and why naughty French maids are a thing. Being up to the elbows scrubbing a floor while hoping the smear on your face is mud is not feminine.
My question is how do I maintain a feminine air about me while doing rough housework?
Yes in theory I could leave the chores until he is not around but it's a small house and our lives overlap so he's going to see me do them unless I do them in the middle of the night. I also don't feel I should expect him to do the cleaning just because it's not pretty. I love the pretty prim wife idea but in practice heels and skirts are no good for walking a dog through muddy woods.
On a related note any tips for keeping long natural nails neat and unbroken while doing manual chores would be appreciated.
