So yesterday I met my sister for the first time in several months. It didn't take long before we stopped at a coffee shop and literally five minutes in the conversation she started rambling about men. So here's approximately what she said:

"I recently read an article that explained a lot of unsuspected ways women get fucked over (sic). For instance, the crash test dummies are modeled after men and not women, and the dummy for a woman is literally the male one but smaller. This is so bad because we don't have the same morphology. So we're more prone to die in road accidents."

She also talked about similar issues but I can't exactly remember what.

But at some point my dad said "well maybe you get your revenge by having a longer life expectancy". I know my dad loves women and feminism so I told him, "you know why men have a shorter life expectancy? Guess the percentage of soldiers that are men..."

My sister intervened and said "this is also a huge problem. One of my boyfriend's friend is a female fighter and she was sent to Afghanistan. And we were wondering, when you're deployed and have to stay in the same position for several hours/days, how do you deal with your period? That's right, you're in deep shit."

Sooo this gave me a concrete ideas of the battles feminist pursue in 2019 in a country like France. I thought it might ok interest you as much as it depresses me.

Edit: oh by the way, I'm going to sleep at her place tonight. If any of you has advice...
