Your daily reminder that conservatives aren't inherently allies, just enemies of our enemies.

Conservatives and mens rights activists arent monolithic.

There are things i agree and disagree with on both sides.

There is no one, including myself, i agree with100%

This is the mentality we should have approaching all of these problems from all sides. Kudos for the emotional intelligence, tovarishch!

Carlson just went full retard for a moment. You never go full retard.

So yeah, this has made me instantly lose a lot of respect for Tucker Carlson. Even if you could argue that these situations weren't 'rape' in a typical sense, it's still women being borderline paedophiles and taking advantage of their position to score easy dick and in my opinion the women who do this are doing it because they can't get dick anywhere else and adult men are all wise to them.

There is one litmus test that I rely on in regards to this because I simply don't trust the daily beast narrative here because you just know that that the left are going to be all over this for years now and will bring it up any time he tries to make a point about something. Would he consider it to be rape if an older male teacher did the same thing with a female student? Or is he one of those hypocritical scumbags who go "Oh well it's different when it's a girl" and pretend that it's rape when a man does it to a student but not when it's a woman?

I think that will be the deciding factor for me on whether or not I pay attention to Tucker Carlson anymore. I've seen this far too often from people who should know better, they excuse rape or paedophilia based on gender and it's pretty disgusting.

Whatever happens though, the left wing SJWs and feminists who will inevitably use this and go "See? We know what we're talking about when it comes to the right and MRAs!" should be ignored and told to fuck off. This makes me think back to situations like Sargon of Akkad where they tried accusing him of excusing paedophilia and it was all completely taken out of context and he was actually defending the age of consent.

The left has no moral authority over us, don't pretend they do.

Assuming he still holds the same view he did a few years ago, the answer would be an unfortunate yes that he is a hypocritical scumbag who does think it’s different when it’s a girl. Here’s a video of him sharing his opinion that it should only be considered a crime when it’s a male adult and an underage female: https://www.mediamatters.org/video/2014/06/05/to-foxs-tucker-carlson-reporting-statutory-rape/199616

Im curious about that too. I wish there was more context to the bit they mention about his defense of Warren Jeffs:

In one 2009 radio exchange unearthed by Media Matters, Carlson defended Warren Jeffs, the cult leader convicted of arranging child marriages. “I am not defending underage marriage at all,” Carlson said, speaking with a shock jock known as Bubba the Love Sponge. “I just don’t think it’s the same thing exactly as pulling a child from a bus stop and sexually assaulting that child…. The rapist, in this case, has made a lifelong commitment to live and take care of the person. So it it’s a little different. Let’s be honest about that.”

What Warren Jeffs did wasn't quite teach/student but it was man/girl I'd be curious to hear that whole discussion he had with Bubba as it might provide some insight as to what he thinks about man/girl under age sex in general.

It took this to lose respect?

Dick.

I was never a fan of the guy before but he can certainly go to hell now.

So he claims:

“Or,” he continued, “you can have a safer, albeit technically illegal outlet, with a woman who knows what she’s doing. You’re not going to hurt her feelings. You know what I mean? This is harm reduction. This is like a needle exchange.”

But in the example mentioned in the article:

In that instance, a 38-year-old teacher, who was married and had four children, repeatedly raped a 16-year-old student on school grounds. According to prosecutors, she also raped another 16-year-old student in revenge, after learning her first prey was going to prom with a girl his own age.

If she went and found another victim to rape because the first one went out with another girl that is definitely hurt feelings. Also in a fair number of these cases the rapist usually spins a yarn about how "her marriage isn't doing well" or "her husband doesn't really love her". That is putting that young boy in the position of being a sexual object for that woman's solace, revenge against her husband, a mid life crisis (aka "getting her groove back"), etc....

What kind of message does that send to the young boy when he realizes that she was using him? Might just lead him to buy into the idea that a guy all he is good for is sex.

In a 2014 appearance on Fox News daytime gabfest Outnumbered, he discussed the same case. “It’s ludicrous we are calling this a rape. Are you serious?” he commented before blaming the teenage victim: “I’ll tell you what’s wrong to this extent—he went and tattled to the police and destroyed her life.”

Yeah to hell with that guy.

In another appearance that year on the same show, he described a teacher giving a 15-year-old student a lap dance as “the greatest thing that ever happened” from a 15-year-old boy’s perspective.

He seems to be making the same miscalculation a lot of people make when trying to pretend that a woman statutory raping an under age boy tend to make. They compare the situation of a woman taking advantage of an under age boy to a situation of 2 people who fully understand what is going on.

But it is interesting that for 2/3 of the article the word misandry is not mentioned a single time but as soon as Carlson's remarks about women are mention the writer immediately accuses him of misogyny so there is that.

He may have finally ditched the bow tie that made him look immature, nut his personality is a lot harder to fix.

[–]DJ-Roukan 2 points3 points4 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

This is the "old white male" the feminist complain about.

He's actually worse for men than women, has drawn conclusion from no study, no science, no survey, but his own interpretation of who the genders are and how they are treated.

Heck, we have done so little study on this that we have no clue how it effects boys who have been raped by women, which is the only thing "different" for males and females. How it effects us.

Tucker Carlson is a shill and a talking-head. Who cares what he thinks? Did they ask Oprah to comment as well?

This country is so screwed.

[–]bhullj11 2 points3 points4 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

If you listen to this guy talk you can clearly tell that he’s not very bright and basically has the mind of a dim-witted 16 year old high school football player.

[–]Lion_amongst_gods 1 point2 points3 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Is it a fancy way of saying "Women who have (non-consensual) sex with old boys are also rapists"?

[–]Vance87 1 point2 points3 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I like Tucker but I think he’s off the mark here. If we are to have equality under the law then there can be no exceptions.

[–]ckitano88 -2 points-1 points0 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I live tucker period. Doesnt mean everything he says is my ideal thought.

People losing respect over it are ridiculous. Can still respect the same and not agree.
