I posted a reply in some "hate subreddit" and decided to remove the reply within 5 seconds. I still got banned.

It's pretty sick how they scan Reddit for people to ban. But I agree with you, they just make the stereotype of leftists that shut down everything they don't agree with. Imagine if the whole society was like they run their subreddits. It would be a cold hateful place where people carefully watch what they say, where people eagerly want to collect goodness-points for telling authorities about someones wrong-thing.

Now that I think of it, I've read a book describing this, it's called 1984 and it didn't end well.

I was subbed to it for some unknown reason (I despise most of shit there).

I get a notification that I was banned from it because I "was frequently posting and commenting on subs that have a big part of their problem community". Clearly, I don't give a shit, but I had to reply and ask how does that make me a problem, and why are they assuming guilt.

Response, of course, was never received. Seem confident about their calls and arguments.

Just thinking they want to bring more eyes. If someone is banned they will be more likely to make an alt and start trolling, which will then re-enforce whatever weird tribalistic roles Subscribers fall into by making them rally around a threat. Simple really. More sad than simple.

I was bothered by this as well but now I just take it in stride. The fact is the ones that do this stuff is probably heavily moderated one way so you're just being saved from being downvoted to hell and banned in the future anyway.

There are only a few subs that do this. It's amazing to me that they think it's perfectly fine to judge your character based on what you're subbed to. It's stereotyping.
