Ridiculous absolutely ridiculous!

At the middle school I used to go to there is a teacher on leave for alleged inappropriate conduct. I didnt have her but some of my friends did. I was floored that people were actually defending her saying it couldn't have been that bad and stuff. They certainly wouldn't have done that if it was a male teacher!

How young are we talking about here?

It wasn’t that long ago in human history that girls of 15-16 were married and pumping out children and boys of 15-16 were working and had been for several years. Adolescence is kind of a modern invention, and I have to laugh when I look back at how my great grandparents lived vs. how we do now. My Swedish great grandfather owned his own farm at 22 and his wife was 16 when they got married in Sweden, before coming over. He’s be a pedophile to some people in here!

We’ve infantilized people to the point where I don’t think a modern 16 year old is mentally even close to a 16 year old from 1880, but it’s still rather funny to hear a 16 year old girl, who’s grown as much as she’s going to grow, who has likely been menstruating for four years already, referred to as if she’s still a child, and the same goes for a 16 year old boy. Up here in Canada, 16 is the legal age one can work, the legal age where one can emancipate themselves from their parents, the legal age where they can consent to sexual intercourse with just about anyone not in a position of authority over them, etc. Which leads to my last point ...

Both teen boys and girls fantasize about this, so teachers who engage in this often find willing partners. When it happened to me at 15 I was naive, shy and nervous, but I wasn’t unwilling. The teacher in question was really attractive, and when I said around the boys, “Man, I’d like to hook up with Mrs. X”, I meant it. I wasn’t really sure what that meant or what the total repercussions could be, because I was naive, but that’s often true of adult relationships, too.

Even if that teen is 100% on board, though, that teacher is still abusing a position of trust. That’s an ethical breach, not a crime though, in my opinion. They should be fired for abusing that trust, but should they be jailed? Not necessarily. And that goes for male AND female teachers. Pre-teens and tweens, though? Yeah, that’s got to be a crime.

By this logic, women getting raped by men isn't as bad as men getting raped by women because many women have rape fantasies.

I'm obviously not claiming this as the case, but I felt like it was worth pointing out how insane it is to justify rape because the victim may have fantasized about it as well as the fact that people often do that with teacher rape.

Unpopular opinion is an understatement.. this person should just be labelled pro-pedophilia from now on.

It's not the "enjoyment" that counts, it's the age of consent in most cases. Anyone under the age of consent can't fucking consent to sex, therefore it's rape. But here we go again.. same shit different day, more dumb asses defending pedophiles.
