I've followed this sub for a bit, and as a woman I have some things to say. I imagine I'll get downvoted into oblivion, but I hope some of you will read what I have to say. First and foremost, I don't hate men, I view them as fellow human beings. Some of my worst experiences have come at the hands of men- sexual assault, harassment, belittlement. Just as many of the best experiences I've had have come at the hands of men- love, friendship, protection. I guess I came here to say that the anonymity and outrage of the internet make it all too easy to demonize the other. But overall, we really are all human beings with the same hurts, triumphs, and concerns. Toxic focus on the male/female dichotomy hurts us all. I think we all we do better than to compete in the Olympics of human suffering, and would be better served by empathizing with our fellow humans.
