Back story: Work in a restaurant as a cook. We hire a hb8, clearly best looking girl in the place of about 30 employees. Beta Bob coworker develops oneitis for her, clearly nothing is gonna happen. After a couple months her and I kiss in the parking lot after work a couple times but nothing develops. She has a bf of 5 years. Her and I form a decently close "work friendship" as she simultaneously is extremely skilled but lacks a really defined role bit often works directly with me. I basically draw her into help me as much as possible and her and I work closely often. It comes to light that a few years ago she hooked up with a friend of one of our coworkers I'll call J. Beta Bob, J and I are all pretty close and hang out outside of work frequently. Bb and J have been giving her shit about this and she confided in me she's bothered by it. This is compounding a few other issues and bothers me because she Works closely with me and is one of the most skilled and professional people I've ever worked with.

Recently when I was off, Bb and j were giving her mad shit when I wasn't around and she told me if I was there I would have told them to lay off. I'm worried this will be the straw to break the camels back and she will leave which I don't want because she is extremely valuable to work with. I want to tell Bb and J to cut it out because I don't don't want her to quit because if she does her replacement won't be as good. I already feel like she'd move on if the social dynamic in our workplace wasn't as good as it is. I think if I told them not to give her shit about the situation they'd listen because they respect me and her, but it would create a palpable tension.

Should I tell them to cut it out so we can keep one of our most valuable employees or just let it develop and try to steer things from behind the scenes because I'm in on both sides?
