The ACLU has turned into a clownish joke of its former self. When I started there, I was promised liberal values. After a while, I realized that was a lie and it's taken over by loony progressives.

Once the ACLU came out in favor of college kangaroo courts, I realized it was no longer a useful organization.

Liberalism isn’t compatible with progressivism, and progressives currently own the western left. Progressives are explicitly authoritarian, they need intrusive government to enforce their edicts. Authoritarian progressives changed the ACLU into just another means of repression, and pretty much hate the earlier liberal/libertarian nature of the old ACLU.

It's important to keep in mind that state chapters of the ACLU are different organizations from the national body.

Still, this look pretty awful and the opposite of what I want the ACLU to be about. I am losing faith in them.
