One of the most popular one line "absolute" facts used against [white] men by [minority] women is "check your privilege." The implied meaning is that by virtue of your birth, you must have some sort of inherent advantage in life and you should feel guilty and therefore become "woke" to all the difficulties [minority] women face.
Hate speech is defined as "speech that is intended to insult, offend, or intimidate a person because of some trait (as race, religion, sexual orientation, national origin, or disability)." When this has been said to me, I am insulted and offended because someone is making a generalization without knowing much of anything about me, how I treat others (the way I want to be treated), etc. I'm quite frankly intimidated because attempting to have any sort of reasonable conversation can quickly turn into shouting by the other person about all the negative qualities I "absolutely" have due to the virtue of my birth.
It seems to me that "check your privilege" exactly meets the definition of hate speech based on its intent. I believe we should start a movement to have this one line put down properly classified as hate speech.
